胡錦濤首次訪問美國, 第一場晚宴是由全球首富 Bill Gate 在西雅圖市郊豪宅以三道菜款待為他洗塵。三道菜為 : 魚排或牛肉佐洋蔥和蘆筍 , 阿拉斯加比目魚與大蝦配春蔬, 素食餐。

First Course: Smoked guinea fowl salad with hazelnuts, spring radish andGranny Smith apples.

Entree, two options:
1) Fillet of beef with Walla Walla onions, local asparagus, celeriac pureeand chervil glace paired with a 2002 Leonetti Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon

2) Alaskan halibut and spot prawns with spring vegetables, fingerlingpotatoes, and smoked tomato infused olive oil paired with a 2003 Chateau St.Michelle Chardonnay, Canoe Ridge Estate

Dessert: Rhubarb brown butter almond cake
